Feather as Ren'py asset, use webfont as in your GUI, Why not?
This packages (rpa) and its source code (zip) contain several icons from the original Feather Icon (https://feathericons.com/) by Cole Bemis.
And,

All webfont icons arranged to be safe for ren'py/python unicode without importing any modules.
Feather is a collection of simply beautiful open source icons. Each icon is designed on a 24x24 grid with an emphasis on simplicity, consistency, and flexibility.

How to use this
- Download and put 'feather-icons.rpa' in your game/ directory
- use text tag: {icon=logo-python}
- use style 'ramen_icon' (button) and 'ramen_icon_text' (text).
- To list the avaliable icon, type 'ico()' in ren'py console,
- or use 'show screen demoicon()'
The source code in 'feather-icon.zip' also contains 'selection.json' which you can modify and alternate it in http://icomoon.io
